What really winds me up...

As you may know, as the British troops are starting to withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan now. It has really wound me up in the last few weeks where it shows certain muslims booing our troops when they arrive home! This is a discrace! I know it's not all muslims of course and I respect that. But who do they think they are? IMO if they are living our country, the least they could do is respect our forces who are putting their lives on the line constantly for our freedom! I can't change muslims thoughts but they could at least protest in their heads.

Could you imagine if we booed some Muslim group? It would be plastered on all the papers, news, and internet for months! Branding us racist!

I have no problem with Muslims and I respect the believes of every religon, it's just the ones who take it to far that get on my nerves.

Its their right to say what they want. Doesn't mean you cant head a boycott of the local Kebab house...

Edit: It just occurred to me, even though the boycott is your right, you'll probably be labeled a racist for it. That leaves you the options of a) embrace the racist label, or b) suck it up and watch them boo the people who risk their lives in the name of their nation.

Our evil minority plan to use the word racism as a shield to cover our secret assent to racial equality around the world is working!! Even those of you who are not racist can't say anything to us, even when we're wrong, else you're a racist!

You cannot win, resistance is futile, respect our minoritah!!

When you are talking about a particular group of people it's correct to say "they". It's kind of how the English language works. It's how we differentiate between the one group that you are in (the normal ones) and the other group that they are in (the ungrateful, shout religious types)

Or are you, as he predicted they might, calling him a racist?

What makes me laugh about these "protesters" is that they hide behind a row of "imperialists" who are protecting them while they protest against the very people who protect their right to protest.

Just ignore them, They are ungrateful cretins.

As stOX said, us english usually us 'us' and 'they' to describe particular groups of people.
It's not meant to harm anyone, just how we speak. :D

i asked a few questions. i ad another ne. why do you say
obviouly you are aware of what you say and how it can sound. then why do you blame other people for thinking the same way as you do? also why do you think british citizens should not be allowed to speak their mind? do you feel the same way when other people say similar things? are muslems the only ones that feel iraq war was wrong over in england? why do you single them out?
