What ranks higher?

    Hi there,

Had a simple thought and wanna know the answer:

What does google like more? A site with f.e. lawnmowers only or a site with lawnmowers and all other garden products? Which one ranks higher if you do seo the same. Or is there no difference?

    Thanks

I think google does not care and an example for that article sites like hubpages and squidoo which rank well for a variety of topics,
but there are people saying its best to keep it specialized

In general, the more targeted the niche the easier it is to rank. However, if you build a network of 5000 sites simply to cover 5000 garden products you may end up running afoul of the search engines if you try to interlink them all. So you you need to look at how big of a niche you can rank for then build your site(s) around the largest niches where you think you can rank.

I think we must include same theme in our website. Adding different topics in a single site is not a good choice.

Google or anyother se don't care how many categories/sections or products u have in one site. Each keyword ranking will be different.

However its a good practice to get visitors and selling products that use all garden products, coz if someone is visiting ur site that means he is looking info. about garden and maybe he will purchase ur products.

For example, if i am selling mobile wallpapers then i will add ringtones, games, softwares and other stuff related to mobile, coz only mobile lovers will find my site.
