I know this is an unusual question (and it is not a solicitation to buy links). Many of the links on this site sell for a little more than that per month. Could someone give me an idea what kind of quality of link I could get for this kind of money? Where would I go to buy a link that gives nearly instant credibility and backlinks for a webpage on my site? I know most people probably have handy numbers on page impressions, but I really want to get a better feel for hourly rate because it better fits better into my impressions of the Google-cred that a good quality link could send a page on my site with short notice.
$5/hr for a link, what is the minimum term? 24 hours? For those not good at math that's $120. Depending on your target demographic I'm sure there's a decent website that will provide you an Image/Banner ad for that rate for at least a couple days. What niche are you targeting? Are you actually looking for a backlink to boost your search engine results? Or are you looking for a link to provide quality traffic? Those are two different things. When your $5/hr term expires, your backlink goes bye-bye and so does any 'boost' it gave your site. To add to this, most major sites don't provide direct links to Advertised Sites, instead they send them through an internal or 3rd party link-tracking/redirecting service, so the backlink wouldn't do you much good in terms of actual backlinks, but the amount of traffic it could generate if worded/designed correctly could potentially be terrific for your site.
SCLocal, I am looking for links that can give us some Google-cred extremely rapidly. I don't think for $5/hour I would even do a full day. I was thinking more of 3 or 6 hours here and there. The challenge, if any one can answer it, is what is the best quality text link I can get for $5/hour. Say 3-6 hours at a time. Anyone have an answer? These are temporary stories, they will either capable of exponential growth or their not. Can anyone answer the question?
The first think I can think of is how much Google loves Press Releases/News and I think your best bet would be a combination of Press Release Submission (there are several really quality service providers out there) and utilizing Twitter and other Social Networking services. So basically what you want to do is to get some links that will raise your rank temporarily. Correct? Have you ever noticed how (depending on the search query) the top results are Recent News articles? Find people/sites syndicated by Google News and get them to publish a release, or get a worthy company to provide this service for you. What is your overall goal, to simply get your site listed and then to get delisted but hopefully retain the initial visitors? What are your thoughts about the Top Most 'Sponsored Results' listing? They are a little more pricey than the basic AdWords, but that's the first thing a Search Engine User would see, and if you phrase it correctly they are bound to click. There are also top-notch companies who provide a 'guaranteed top listing' and if you were to just need a few hours I'm sure it wouldn't be more than $100-400 bucks, depending on the Keyword. Remember this would be a one-time fee, not a pay-per-click fee. Perhaps if you gave us a hint about your niche we could better help you get your targeted visitors, this is what you want to do, right?
I'm wondering how a link that always disappear after 3 hours is seen by google.. that would certainly ring some alarm bells for them
