    Standard Visibilty = $80

    I'm considering media visibility.

Looking forward to hearing the experience responses on this thread.

I tested it year (or 2?) ago. Took basic option and the announcement got close to zero publicity.... a few links if I recall correctly. (With that being said, I think it's hugely important that you have really good news to share - since it's more about the news than about the distributor (and with good news you still might take a miss))

I think it depends on how valuable it is to you, and how newsworthy/interesting your news is.

Since I'm announcing the launch of a site that is the culmination of >6 months of work, and I had a quick intro video ready to embed, I went for the Media Visibility. I'll probably do a press release on PRNewswire as well, to reach more of the traditional media. My press release hasn't gone out yet, so I don't know how it's going to fare, but if I remember to, I'll post back results here.

I'm afraid none of them are worth it. You will find out after you have done it.

Good PR that actually works costs thousands of dollars, not hundreds.

They do just the minimum, which brings in very, very little traffic.

You will not get your money back.

Besides, some of them you can do yourself quite easily.

The SEO package is crap. Orgainc traffic is overrated anyway. On top of that, the odds are very, very slim that you will not rank high enough to be even seen.

Talk about a waste of $200.

Have some fun by asking them to give you a list of webmasters who are now on page one. They will either give an excuse on why they cannot do this, or they will not reply back.

You can ask others on your own.

You can do that yourself by simply calling the paper.

That's BS. You shouldn't have to pay for that.

    On and on....
