    Google use C++, Java and Python on the server side because they know how to make those things scale like crazy. Steve Yegge has talked about Googles policy on languages at length if you feel like getting an accurate answer. Its hardly interesting

    they use python, c , c++, java, go, js and some more language for their search engine only.‏

    For most of the websites the Python, Java and C++ are the most prevalent Programming languages.

    Google has a very open development environment with many different service APIs.
    Java, Javascript, C++, Python, etc.,

    no google made after php creation, we know that yahoo made before google and it use php as their language.

    I remember reading an article a while back. I know they run multiple coding languages which include C++, Python with their homepage being HTML based for web browsers. In addition, they use Sawzal which is a custom logging language. If your more interested on the search, its mostly c++ and some python.

    Hope this helped!
