Is your list opted in? Did they ask you to send them something? If not you may be getting ready to spam and that ain't cool. donrock
If you dont do it all officially you will be reported by someone for spamming and blacklisted. Be very careful. Either use something official like Aweber but then all you list will need to re opt in. Or use a mail address that is disposable when sending. I have double opt in subscribers but even then i get reported for spamming occasionally but the Aweber system can prove the contact opted in but then just forgot!!
What's not cool about sending spam? The list is everybody (I have no idea who's opted in) 1. I will follow the CAN-SPAM ACT (federal law requires you to give an option to opt-out) 2. I'm sending it from my own server at home using PHP mail() --using a real email and my real name--, will this get me banned from "reporting"? 3. It's a non-profit organization website that i'm marketing. What does getting "banned" mean? I'm only sending ONE email to each address. ONE TIME. I don't want to spam their inbox. will sending it ONE time hurt me in any way?
