Amazon FBA is hot right now.I see a lot of average joe's as well as advanced marketers earning a nice income from it.
Of course there are dozens of other ways to earn online but this seems to be very popular right now.

Services are rather hard to sell online, but products are much easier to sell. Second hand products, for example, sell very very well.

Go with the tried and true e-commerce services. There are still plenty of people out there wanting to buy cheaper computers, electronics, goods, etc.

Interesting. But doesn't physical products involve more hassles like logistics, fulfilment etc

So it becomes price competition- you need to find cheap supplies so you can sell cheap to buyers who buy cheap. Sounds tough :)

With Amazon FBA you just shipped the physical goods to the amazon warehouse and amazon takes care of the rest.
They list the item on their website and when somebody orders they package and ship it for you.Fullfillment By Amazon.

First rule of buisness, the more hassle, the more you can increas the prize. Besides, there's nothing one should really do oneselfs. Physical products involve other workers. Don't shy away from buisness. After all, it's nothing but managment. You've played RTS, a business's bread and butter is not really any different. Try talking to a someone who owns a line of work. He isn't really intelligent, he doesn't stike you as astute etc. He just has too much energy! A straightfowardness. That is all you need to develop.

The service industry will be/is the way forward. Anything that makes life easy for people is popular... just look at the Dog Walking industry for example... booming in areas where people are too busy to do it for themselves.

Cars and houses. They are big ticket items where the commission for one sale is often worth more than 12 months of an average Joe's salary.

That is just so obvious and conventional
Anything that is too obvious and conventional= more more people jumping in so huge competition and tough

    :)

Yes, it would. I agree that sales of online products are very easy to handle but they don't sell as well as physical products. How many online ads do you see that are online products? The majority of them are physical products but it's easier for them to reach their audience "online"

I believe the easiest things to sell are non-physical things. Things that don't cost you money to keep stocks of. That's why internet businesses are rising, app businesses are raving.
And from there, it all depends on your selling speech and ability to reach out to the masses.

No, the easiest things to sell are everyday life products, such as food, gas, snacks etc. Apps are getting popular because they are "convenient", not "necessity", people can live without them.

I think it's a good idea to focus on local clients. Nowadays everybody wants to a sell products and services on massive scale and tend to forget how much potential local audience possesses :)

    Good point
Narrow or Niche or thinner geographical area is good idea- less competition and can stand out more easily

Is that only new stuff, or can it be used also? I thought about buying stuff from international sources but I'm not sure who to trust.
