What product to promote?

Can I just ask how will I know that a product is good to promote? Should it have a good gravity? sales? commission? or what? I am a little bit confused on this. I will start a mini niche site but can't find a niche. Will long tail keywords be the answer on choosing a domain and niche??

    Thanks in advance

Fuck that motherfucker. Promote my shit instead.

I have a simple 7 step process for picking products to promote:

    • Type out and print the name of every product in the ClickBank marketplace. I recommend outsourcing it.
    • Cut out each name so you have tiny strips of paper.
    • Place all of those paper strips in a hat.
    • Shake that hat.
    • Close your eyes.
    • Pull out a strip of paper.
    • Rinse and repeat as desired.
Follow this method you will win! That will be $97 please.

Marketing is how you figure this out. Figure out what people want and then give it to them. If you are looking at products first you are doing it wrong. Find a market then find the product.

If this is your first time into affiliate marketing then I would recommend picking something that you are interested in first - a hobby, or a past time, or something you would enjoy writing about - there is a lot to learn, and enjoying the work will make it a little easier to produce the content anyway.

So pick your niche and search the clickbank marketplace for possible products - then review them in terms of how good their sales page looks, if you think you could sell it / people would buy it, and also what affiliate materials the vendor offers - how easy they make it for you, if the offer advice and guidance, pre-made templates, articles, landing pages, keyword suggestions etc.

Only other thing I would say is not to hesitate / procrastinate too much - pick something, and give it a try - you will learn more by trying and failing than 1 month of research with no further action. :)

"you will learn more by trying and failing than 1 month of research" —— That's very true. But I'd like to add that most people are just in it for the money and research do provide the supporting basis for continual effort. Scientific method always comes with assumption first. And basic research help set the tone of assumption: what an affiliate think is the truth. There are tons of things one can do. But one always has to decide what to do first. Some follows other's advice, some buy ebooks to learn, some join DP to read about what others do, and I would suggest everyone to do empirical study base on data instead of instinct like mostly everyone else.
