What product should I promote on my site?

I run a TV streaming site for The Office and was wondering what a good product to promote would be..?
I think it's important to say that my hops are generated by people clicking a "Download Now" button where they assume they will be able to download the episode. Instead it takes them to a landing page.
I have tried promoting a TV show download product called something like FullTVDowloads, but after 368 hops it hasn't converted once.
Are the conversion rates this bad because I am tricking my users, and will continue to suck regardless of the product I'm trying to promote?
Overall, would there be an even better way to monetize my site than with affiliate marketing?

If you have a large amount of UK traffic, you could try http://www.unrulymedia.com/ . You could also look at geo-targetting to show other ads with your non-UK traffic.

I take it from your sig that you've already tried gating your feed with a CPALead premium gateway to monetize it?

Tricking your users certainly isn't a good way to get them well disposed to clicking more links on your site! It's the old 'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.' scenario.

Yeah I mean as far as tricking goes it's not that bad, it's just the download buttons - a strategy used on a lot of TV/Movie streaming sites.
I did try CPALead, problem is it gets you banned from SideReel which is a large source of traffic for me so earnings died down pretty quickly.
I don't have too much UK traffic, the majority is US...What I'm really looking for is something that converts as well as possible given how I am getting clicks...Maybe an affiliate in the same niche could help me out?

You should create banner zones and plug your aff links that way mate, making the user respond to an offer/creative/banner on their own good will and interest. Tricking your users won't convert well at all :p I have http://www.iptuber.com | aff area } which is through PDC, if you want me to help you blend the creatives into your interface somehow I'm willing to help.

    You're right, that's a good idea.
Right now I am running Adsense, but I can kill that and replace it with affiliate banners. After all I do get 30+ clicks daily on low paying keywords...I could be making a lot more out of that.
Thing it, what do I do with the new download buttons I added all over my site? Is there even a good way to monetize those?

I have tried using Graboid in the mean time, with no success (200 unique clicks, not a single install).
After re-implementing the affiliate product promotion I have hit a grand total of 546 hops with no sales.
Should I just not be using affiliate marketing on my TV streaming site or am I doing something wrong?

@RFlame - What's the URL of the site you're having trouble with, anyhow?

You can choose the products according to the following rules.

    1. Don't choose the top 3 products in the similar category. Top 3 means huge competition.
    2. Don't choose the products with a gravity over 100. High gravity means huge competition.
    3. Don't choose the big name products. Big name means huge competition.
    4. More to come...

My site is www dot rixstuff dot net.
I expected conversion rates for those Download Now buttons to be low, but not this low.
Anyway, since affiliate marketing doesn't seem to be working, where could I redirect those clicks to make some money?
