I'm currently looking for a product to promote and need some suggestions. Please note, I'm looking for advices from affiliates, not from publishers who try to promote their crappy not converting products. Thanks in advance. P.S I didn't have much luck with energy products lately. I've sent 50+ ultra targeted hops from my own hosted landing page and couldn't even get a sale. I really thought this is a good product to promote, but oh well, guess not.
I'm a small-time new-ish affiliate (~ a month). If you know anything about file sharing, it's a great niche without much competition... Usually setting up a DDL site of sorts and offering "PREMIUM DOWNLOAD" for everything listed, that goes over to a ClickBank file sharing affiliate... Has converted ~ $400 in the past 2 months for me w/o much work on my end. I've also had luck selling a few random "make money" eBooks such as the lazy marketer and other ebooks as such. G'luck.
Dude, send more than 50 before you give up, send 500 to 1000 or more... people on this forum give up way to early when promoting new products..
Agreed, earth4energy is my best converting product for the last two months, 50 hops is nothing to judge by. Usually I'll abandon a campaign if at 1000 hops it looks like crap.
Are you talking about PPC? Because I was thinking about going the good old fashioned bum + seo method.
Earth4Energy does convert, because otherwise it wouldn't be on top of Clickbank products.... It does convert for me as well, but lately I had like 500 hops and only 2 sales. I guess, that's because of Clickbank's problems, because usually I get a sale in about maximum 100 hops.
No, I haven't PPCed in months, too much time tweaking stuff and I haven't run a consistantly profitable campaign in the last 5-6 products I promoted because I wasn't into putting all the time into constantly optimizing anymore.
earth4energy is a good product and does sell well ... but if you're starting out you'll be aware it's quite competitive now too ... focus on products with gravity of say around 100-ish ... less competition but still products that sell ... it *should* be easier for you to make money there
a hoplink a the affiliate link generated to promote a certain CB product, and in the industry slang, lol "Hops" are the actual clicks or visits through the hoplinks
You need at least 1000 hops, then you can tell if a product converts. I am currently promoting some products that convert in 200 hops.. so there you go.. it depends on how targeted your traffic is .. is it PPC ? Free traffic coverts less..at least for me.
