What process do you typically go through when researching keywords?

Well I first think of something I would want and then I go too google.com/trends and see if it is searched a lot. If it has a good amount then I will search the keywords in google and see how well the sites that are in the first page are optimized.

 

For keywords researching we can suggest you to first check the competition on the keyword and than check the monthly search on that keyword. Competition should be less
so that it would be easy to bring the keyword on the top easily.

I mean to say keyword parameter in the sense of targeting age group, location or other things as you consider in the post, is any some important parameter missing, any know how can we find out monthly estimated searches volume on all major search engines???

I normally use Google Adwords keyword tool to research my keywords and try to sort them based on how much traffic they'd generate and their competitiveness.

Regarding keyword parameter, according to number of searches we can target the keywords. I do not have knowledge about other search engines but for taking out monthly estimated volume I use google adwords. If you have any other way please tell.
