Yes, edirectory is nice, just too darn expensive. I bet if they lowered their price and made it so we don't have to pay a hefty $69 in hosting fees every month, they would make more money in the long run. If it's piracy they are worried about, then they don't get out too much as their script is already "out there" and has been for awhile. (Sorry for the rant)

Anyways, I would personally recommend phplinkdirectory.com just because I have had the most experience with it. Good luck!

No offense to all the guys who mentioned phplinkdirectory, i just checked them out and it's not very good. If i'm not mistaken it's just a piece of software to display links. Not much going on with that software, but I guess it's worth it because you are only paying $30 bucks if you link back to them and $80 if you dont. So its understandable to not expect much features when you sell it at that price. Like I said in the other post, edirectory and dynaportal are pretty good ones. I looked at the pricing for edirectory recently and it's still cheaper than dynaportal and it's still cheaper than memberclicks and marketgrabber. I also saw another cool directory company called 360directoires, but speaking of expensive, their prices were outrageous and you have to do revenue sharing. Not a good deal if you ask me.

Too bad you cant just hire a freelance developer and build these sites, you might as well pay for the real thing if you want to run a good online directory site. Let me know if you see any other good directory software in the market.
