With the internal pages getting higher PR than the homepage, there could be a dampening or time delay for the passing of links to the homepage as that's where most less natural links go. I noticed it started last PR update.

Anyone who has for example built a PR5 homepage before found it harder to build another PR5 homepage for this update?

I had a few new sites do 0-3 and one 0-4. Most of my 3's stayed 3's and one 4 dropped to a 3. The weird one is the 0-4 It is a dummy site I started that I let google find from my blog. The only IBL is from my blog. All it contains is a RSS feed of my blog and a couple of outlinks. It must be getting a "new" and a "discovered" bonus because it surely doesn't deserve more PR than some of my other sites that are actively promoted, in DMOZ and one of which is also linked from the same blog.

All in all, the numbers are pretty much what I expected based on what I understand page rank to mean.

Perhaps a simpler poll would be more revealing. Did you go up or down? I´m not going to start it though. I´ve already had my fingers wrapped for hijacking a thread.

Just checked, and one of my internal pages has a PR of 3. Now, that page has never been submitted anywhere, and has a grand total of 1 link pointing to it, on my site, from a PR 2 page. The only reason it's even there is because I forgot to take the link down until the page is ready. Now that is somewhat bizarre.

LOL, are you posting because every man and his dog has been offering up their first born for a link from your site via PM?

My Domain Blog debuts @ PR4 which is cool. I was hoping for PR5 but it was not to be. I've recently noticed that a lot of blogger blogs are PR4 now; they've either been bumped down to PR4 or bumped up to it. Hmmm...

Anyone who has debuted @ PR5 or above at this update deserves kudos. So: kudos!

    Yeah ... 21.000 IBL's in Yahoo in 4 weeks :)

22 different websites, but about 15.000 from one site. :)

And many many nights lost, subscribing to entire lists of webdirectories :)

    Expertu,

And here I was thinking that if you added a huge number of links too fast that you were in danger of getting dumped into the sandbox :(

It´s hard to know which advice to follow sometimes and I probably err far to much on the side of caution. I´ve stayed away from the masses of links from one site for that very reason.

Good for you and to everybody else that got a rung (or 5) further up the ladder on this update.

And i promoted fast a few houndred websites, up to now.
