The majority of my sites went from PR0 to PR5. My newer sites stayed at PR0.

Only one site, that went from 0 to 3, I was looking forward to a 4. I obviously have notbeen working hard enough. I'm going to sit in the corner.

PR3 is great for your first site. Carry on using forums like this one and I'm sure you will learn plenty to aid you in pushing that higher come the next update. As your site attracts more visitors I believe it will gain more backlinks as it is an interesting resource.

The same is true for me. I went from a 0-3. I feel it a boost in moral, but I am really looking forward to a change in the rankings and thus an increase of traffic to my site! :)

We had three that went from 0 to 3, but remaining 4 stayed as they were.

Can someone tell me what it takes to move from a 5 to a 6?? Our sites have over 1,000 incoming links, about half relative with fairly good page rank, yet we just don't seem to move beyond the PR 5?

    I guess PR 5 is better than 4, but a 6 is better than a 5.........

    Thanks

PageRank is logarithmic, so the higher you go, the more links are required to gain a position.

Elle, you need links from high pr pages with fewer links on them to get more pr.

If you exchange links for example with 200 pr5 pages and every page that links to you has 200 links on it,.... it's no as powerful as say getting links from 100 pr5 pages with 40 links on them (internal or external).

But it all comes down to search results. Focus on building links for search results, not pagerank.

My sandboxed site went to PR4 from PR3.

Main site was PR6 then in Dec went to PR5, still remains at PR5 even though I have tons more links than when I was PR6. Guess G have made it more difficult to get a PR6? Who cares anyway I'm still ranking okay! :)

My site went from PR3 - PR4 for my one URL and PR0-PR3 for the second one. If only I stuck to one URL, I might have gotten a PR 5

No change for me at all, although BLs increased by about 50% on my two important sites. I was hopeful of a PR4 site going to 5 and a PR5 site going to maybe a 6.

It's as though there has been no update for my sites, whatsoever. Newer pages remain at PR0 even though they have one or more PR4s linking.

One of my sites went from 1-2 on the home page and all of the internal pages went from 0-3. What's up with that? My "site map" page has a higher pr than my "index" page now. What gives?

    Yeah, I noticed that too.

During the last update, JD mainpage had a PR2, and one page had a PR4

    It's just crazy :D

I have 8 subdomain sites, 3 month old.
    Now:
    1 site has PR3 (and it's one that I've work a lot)
    3 sites are PR4
4 are PR5 (3 of them very neglected)
    It's kind of confusing...

Another sites just under construction got PR2-3 without any work... just 1-2 old links pointing. That's nice... gives me another reason to restart work on that projects.

The 10 was reported by Steve Jobs. Braggard...

This is the screwiest update I have ever experinced.

I'm convinced that this updates PR 5 is the new PR 6.

I've analyzed over 150 sites and noticed that new sites that had 0 PR went up in PR MUCH easier than sites that already had PR.

Any site I looked at that already had PR of at least 1 only went up at the most 1 or 2 and almost all stayed exactly the same (a couple went down 1).

Odd thing is that some INSIDE pages that were PR 0 went up in PR much higher (as high as 5) when the PR on the front page of the site was actually less. Is that bizarre?

There are some serious new filters keeping the PR down. I am really disappointed.

Maybe LINKS need to "age" before they give proper cred. Maybe there is now a sandbox on how PR is credited to newer domains?

I have a funny feeling this was an oddball update and something is going to append on the pages that already had PR. If it doesn't, I'd say the PR numbers we are looking at have little to no value and are not even close to accurate at describing the juice that a site has.

ferret77 right after I added the poll, so not sure if they made a mistake or just being a smart ass, but it's not serious.

If you want to see who got what, just click on the number of votes next to each category and it reveals who voted in what categories.
