Yeah, I know how that feels, I have a site with hundreds of thousands of backlinks, and after 13 months I am still stuck at PR5.
My primary site stayed at PR5 (used to be PR6 until just over a year ago, when it dropped to PR5, and has stayed stuck there). My secondary site also stayed at PR4. For both sites, however, the majority of my internal pages jumped to the same as the index page, except 3 or for links in, where it drops by 1. Google is also displaying 40 LESS backlinks, even though I've added hundreds over the past months. (I know displayed BL's don't matter, just strange.) DS
Only my new sites have gooten "new PR" while my old sites all have stayed the same. I am also confused because some of my "new" sites went up to PR 4 and 5 with hardly any links, while another site that has zillions of quality links only went up to 5. In the past this site would have easily been a 6 or a 7... I think so far the PR that I see isn't that impressive. I am disappointed.
I think you can easily pass PR from one site to another. Example - my brand new PR 4 only has 2 incoming links (both from PR5 pages undiluted with other outgoing links). I think that to get a PR6, you need a lot more than just a couple of links passing PR. TOPS30: bugger it all. I found that the non www domain wasn't redirecting correctly - bloody thing is now. non www had a PR of 2 as did the www . I haven't found any IBL's to the non www though. Never thought to check that the redirect wasn't working correctly. Thanks for reminding me.
My new wedding site... went from New to PR4 first crack.. i love it... makes it way easier to exchange links with people who don't like to link to pr0 sites
this update didn't change a lot for me... my entertainment sites went up from 0 to 3 respectively 4. that's all.
2 of our sites went from from PR4 to PR5 Our PR5 site stayed the same we have 3 or 4 other existing PR4 sites that stayed the same We changed my company owners personal site from encoding Shift JS to UTF8 & finally got it to PR4 from 0 & it had backlinks.
My directory went from 4 to 5, the associated forums stayed at 4. All of the rest of my sites went from 0 to 4. This includes two sites that consist of one or two pages each and have no BLs, as well as my shopping site which has 100's of pages. It's BLs went from 84 to 79. I've been working my ass off on that site and should have more BLs, and thats from non-coop stuff. With the coop there should be more I would think. Also, many of those links I got are PR4 and above. I even have a few PR6 and at least one PR7 link that I know of. Why it only went to a 4 I don't know. The directory hasn't gotten much attention from me at all, at least no online. BLs went from 27 to 28, and all it's coop weight is sent to the shopping site, still, it gets a PR5. I'm not complaining, but I thought the shopping site would get the 5.
Most sites stayed the same. This is somewhat disconcerting as one site that was 4/10 went from 86 Google backlinks to 304 but no PR change. What can you do? Life must go on... On a better note several new sites had a HUGE jump. Two went from 0 to 5, two went from 0 to 3, one went from 0 to 4. My new SEO site is only 6 weeks old and went from 0 to 3 so I guess I cant complain too much about this update. Congrats on the PR boosts everyone!
I just noticed that one of my sites that was a 4 this morning is now at 3. The rest of the sites are where they were. One site, it's a subdomian that has nothing more on it than an online help app, help.mari-len.com, went from a 1 to a 3. It's less than 2 months old, so I'm not sure where the initial 1 came from. What I want to see is what all this does to my coop weight when it's done. Gone from one PR4 site with about 100 pages and then about 600 pages from PR0 sites, to the 100 pages at PR5, and now up to 700 or more at PR4. Should be interesting!
I'm glad you got a new PR for that mari-len site... you are my referral and are giving me more weight now, lol
