What post length is best for SEO?

Is there a length of a post/article that is best for SEO? 300 words? 500 words? 1000 words? 750 words? 1500 words? A mix?

Most people used to recommend 300-500 words, but after the recent Google Panda update there is a shift in the SEO industry thinking, so now many people are recommending longer articles in the 500-1000 words since Google now tends to put more of a premium on unique content. The more unique quality content you have on a page the better.

 

You can use between 500-1000 words for articles but some sites also take 400 words also.

 

Longer article get more trust from users, so do search engines.

Length of article should be so that the visitor will rely on them. When any one read your article, he should get the complete satisfaction from that article. It should not be so short that the reader fill that some thing is missing. Beside this the article should not be so long that the reader fill boring while reading. Good article length may be 300 to 700.

 

An average of 500 words is good considering the content and how informative it is.

 

Don't think too much about SEO. Write enough content that is required to properly describe your article.
Although a rough estimation may be about 500-1000 words.

 

imo your article should be a length which provides a good read.

Of course try to get some meat and bones in there but remember the priority is a good read because a good read will be link bait.
