Hello! maybe someone can help me. Should I use the default ping service that is already provided in a WP blog, which is Pingomatic, or should I use a longer ping list? As part of one Internet marketing course that I took, I received a ping list of 164 different ping services! Should I use this long list or is it enough for me to just use the default Pingomatic? An opinion on this would be appreciated. Thank you very much!
One Service such as Pingomatic,Pingler or Pingfarm should be all you Need...You Don't Want to OVERPING..Google Will often Penalize you for that... You should Only Ping If you Have added new content etc... Just My opinion I'm sure more folks will chime in. Actually What I usually Do is Ping The site from which I am Backlinking from.
Pingomatic should be good enough and work well for you. You can choose Pingler or Pingfarm, but any one of these should be good enough.
Thank you very much for your suggestions. I make sure that I don't overping, and I use the cbnet ping optimizer plugin to prevent pinging whenever I edit a post.
you should use default services. if you edit your old posts, it again pings the post, and since too much pinging can be considered spamming.
