I started looking at this number and on my sites it ranges about 8% - 16%. I'm pretty surprised that anybody uses dialup anymore. What about for you all?
I don't know any people who still use them. They should've changed to broadband for their own sake. But sometimes it has to do with the unavailability of the service in their area. Has anybody actually had this problem?
Google Analytics shows which percentage of visitors use dialup, so that's where I got my numbers. Do any of you have a feel for what the numbers are on your sites?
about 8% of my visitors are dial-up, which makes me happy. My site loads quickly on all connections anyway.
Well, not every country or town for that matter have broadband access. I believe some town in the US are still using dial up. I believe dial up will be here to stay. When I travel, I will still resort to dial up where WIFI is not available and most of the time, that is the case in the Asian region.
Surprisingly, of 15,235 visits 10.82% are dialup users. That's on a "general" website, which applies to a lot of people. On the more technical sites, it is at 4-5%.
