Mine is ~ 50%. Out of 222 pages, 103 pages are indexed. Is this figure normal?

As a point of reference, MSN indexed 40 pages, Yahoo indexed an "incredible" 15 pages.

    Thanks in advance! :D

Yep.. It is normal.. It is a sign that you should build more links. Plus you should include sitemap to your site. It can help spiders discover your other pages of your website.

Right!!! just create a well formated sitemap and google will Index your site... also i think... if the site is properly structured and has some fresh content... regularly submitted ... then google will crawl almost all pages... plus... bots will be regularly visiting your site for updates... also if your pages are some how linked to the homepage... that also helps in getting indexed

You need your site to be accessible. That includes a good internal linking structure, as well as deeplinks. A sitemap does no harm too.

Make site map and submitted. I have also seen people say that if you have adsense on your site you get indexed faster.

    Use webmaster tools.

Click on "sitemap" in the menu column on the left of the screen.

That should show you the total URLs(pages) you've got, as well as the number of URLs that is indexed.

If you have a large site then I wouldn't expect all your pages to be indexed. You will find that a large amount of DP, Sitepoint pages are not indexed because they get rather old and deeper into the site and Google will only crawl a certain deepness.
