    I don't know the answer yet. But that is one tip in getting more traffic. By putting it in your signature.

    I added a signature in india broadband forum.Right now am not active over there. But still am getting traffic.

    Hardly anything. I think most people just use it to get backlinks. And I wonder if Google still takes those into account.

    It doesn't hurt, but I wonder if it helps.

    I think 20% to 30% traffic come from signature link.

    About 5% or else is from sig links. I only have one though :)
