I'm not taking a swipe at anybody on here, this comes from experience outside of DP. A few years back I worked for a company who hired a few SEO companies. At the time I was a bit clueless, but as I now understand SEO it was quite obvious these companies were blatantly taking advantage of the directors naivety. I'd say even pulling tricks so as to drag the process out so the contract would last a lot longer. So, what percentage of SEO companies out there can be trusted to do their job to the best of their ability and for the benefit of the client?
That's a tough question. Without any data in hand its really hard to tell but I guess go for the known SEO company so you have a lesser chance of getting taken for a ride.
You cant measure these SEO companies because they come and they go, some sticks for a while some sticks longer and are stable. Those stable ones are the ones you should focus on, because they should have a pretty solid customer base and a beautiful portfolio. Contact them and tell them what you need and see what they have to offer. Good luck
I'm not looking to hire, would rather do it myself as then I know it's getting done properly. I'm just saying take a rough guess from experience. For me it's 100% can't be trusted, but thats only my own experience. It helps if the buyer actually knows what they're paying for, what techniques are being used, but quite often they don't have a clue and just keep their fingers crossed theyve made the right decison.
There are SEO Companies that offers transparency and provides reports regularly of what they have done. They will also tell you from that start what approach they will take
Yep, the SEO guy my old firm hired gave a monthly report. What he failed to declare was that the 50 backlinks he had developed were through an India company. So he was getting paid £500GBP, and paying an Indian SEO company £150 for low quality links. £350 profit a month for 2 mins work sending some money through paypal. nice work if you can get it lol.
