What percentage of revenue would you charge to monetize a forum?

A forum that I help administer has asked me to start monetizing it; currently our monetization is through people who subscribe to the forum. Since it's a forum that I regularly visit I don't have a problem just taking the cut rather than charging a flat rate.

It is a general discussion forum so the advertisements obviously won't have great success, but I've got a few ideas.

Assuming we start making money (well we are a bit with Adsense, but I'd like to get it above that definitely) what would be a fair percentage for me to ask?

I was thinking somewhere around 25% of all ad revenue; should I ask for a higher percentage if I actually generate leads to direct advertisers? What might be fair for that if so?

Nobody has been able to answer this question on the other communities that I'm involved in so hopefully I can find an answer here.

    Thanks in advance!

it depends from forum content quality and forum popularity but I think 30% are enough
