What percentage of PageRank is lost through a 301 redirect?

    not clear answer from matt cutt on this topic, but yes there is some PR lost through 301 Redirect. no body know what percentage of PR lost through 301 Redirect.

    We do not know that exactly. As a matter of fact, PR does not flow in any case. Its the link juice that flows which causes PR change in turn. Google says that by doing 301 redirect, much of the link juice gets transferred. So we can assume safely that more than 80% does transfer. If its lost, then about 5-10% would be lost. Its just guessing.
