what percentage of clicks the 1st position gets vs 2nd, 3rd, ect

    I want to know out what percentage of clicks the 1st position gets vs the 2nd position vs the 3rd position, ect. for the top 20 SERPs

    example:

    1st position 68%
    2nd position 52%
    3rd position 55%
    4th position 31%

    Does anyone really know?

    You may not get veryaccurate answer but you can use AOL's data and for a common query do check the frequency of first result click and second result click and for others as well :) There are many such sites who offer search facility on AOL's data. Search on DP for them

    Here is a summary of some analysis of the AOL data. Of course, it varies greatly depending on your result text and the text of any sites that rank higher.

    I saw the results of google somewhere, dont know where though. #1 is well over 50%, #10 was around 2% I think..
