What Percentage of an Article Needs to be Rewritten..

    ..to avoid duplicate content? Is threre a certain percentage that would be considered passable? Of course 100% is the goal, but,could an article be 50% rewritten with even paragragh in its original state be ok?

    Excellent post. I have always been told 30% but am not confident that is correct. Will be interested to read what the experts have to say.

    I am very interested in knowing the answer to this question as well! But I'd also like to know if there is a tool that I can use to measure how much of an article is duplicate content?

    You may have bigger problems than Google if you're talking about rewriting someone else's content you don't own a license to. Even 100% rewritten text is an illegal, copyright-infringing, derivative work in some places (like the US and UK where only the copyright holder may create or authorize derivative works). Review your country's copyright laws. And since this question has been asked and answered numerous times, thread closed. Please search to find out what others have had to say about it from the Google perspective and creating rewrites of either PLR content or your own.
