What percentage does Google recognize....

Inpage optimization? offpage optimization?

Is it 50% inpage and 50% offpage or 20% inpage and 80% offpage? asking for help here thanks.

 

As it is said it is definitely 20-80 ratio between on-page and off-page optimization.

 

80% is off page, 15% is having the keyword in the title tag.

 

So it means that link building has greater effect that the Google recognizes the more related links you have the chances of high rank?

 

Google gives more value to off-page than on-page optimization but it’s the opposite with Yahoo.

 

I agree with freestyler that yahoo prioritize the inpage optimization 'coz I have an anime site (Samurai X site). I submitted in Yahoo a years ago it was #1 spot last 1998, during that time I have no idea on SEO inpage optimization. I just put some meta tags, keywords etc.... Even today when you search for the keyword samurai x on yahoo search bar I'm still included on top 20 of yahoo search...

 

May i ask how any of you know these percentages please? is it from experience or documented somewhere?

 

Its all 100% guesswork.

 

Cool One thing thats certain about SEO is the uncertainty.

 

My guess: 75% offsite, 10% title, 10%in the first 200 words of your site and the last 5% is just guesswork :]
