Heard many saying Google gets 60% and leaves 40% for us

I agree with 30% maybe even lower.

When you've been in both programmes, adsense and adwords you will know the difference.

I was paying 30-50 pences per click (60-80 cents), and on the same niche website I rarely get 10c per click.

dont know, but google depend on ad revenue, so its no surprise that google take a big portion and leave us with the tiny portion

I would think google would be taking the big cut and giving us the pennies that remain but I may be wrong...

I understand why some people may want this information, but it really doesn't matter. Your going to place ads on your website/blog and then receive clicks. Then Google is going to tell you how much they owe you. Then hopefully when you reach your payout limit they pay you. The percentage or ratio that they pay does not even matter. Even if you knew they are not going to pay you more. It will remain the same. Your only course of action would be to remove the ads and go else where.

Google wins because your only one person. Simple put.

I think it depends on the niche actually. This way they can almost manipulate the way MFA sites are going. Say back in the day with "Mesothelioma Cancer" was supposed to be an extremely profitable keyword paying several dollars per click. But Google could just as easily manipulate it to it is not profitable anymore, thus cleaning up their index because less people will be spamming that keyword. On the other end of the scale on the adwords side, the advertiser doesn't care and won't even notice in all honesty.
