What people buy digital products from landing pages?

I was thinking about the products offered on CB and how I got 80 hops and no sales and then I asked myself: "Would you buy anything that was on CB and offered through a landing page?" Personally, there are very few e-books I would consider buying from CB and those e-books contain information that cannot be found over the Internet elsewhere or cannot be found in such detail. Looking at all of the other e-books, most of them contain information that you can just google, so why purchase them?

Long landing pages make me lose interest. I don't know who in their right mind would scroll 10 screens down to get to the buy button? To me, most landing pages look too cheesy and fake and I could see only gullible people buying from those pages or people that are not very tech-savvy. This is just my opinion and I am aware that some people are making good money on CB but I just cannot see myself buying much from there when the information is available all over the Web already. You just need to search for it.

It seems some people are different! :)
You can cater for people who are like you ... AND others too. Find out which gets the better result!

It's about catering to the segment which is looking to an upward moving trend after they have had a downfall. Probably they might be hitting a wall where they need a desperate solution. Or.. probably they might be people interested in purely growth products like "how to increase site visitors to my website...?" or "how to build my body working out just 15 minutes a day?"

Loo, if you'd a problem, you would desperately want solution for the problem. Most people just want that which is why they go through the long sales copy on landing pages.

The conversions of clickbank products are hardly an average 3%-7%. However, it means that a minimum of 30 people out of 1000 unique visitors buy a clickbank product. If the product sells for a net profit of $27 each after payments to affiliates, the total net profit is $810.00 which isn't bad money per 1000 visitors. Imagine if you get 10,000 UV a month...? It would be $8100.00 which is cool.

I think ebooks can still be circulated. The best way to create a product is to create videos (non-downloadable videos which people cannot capture the media using firefox plugins or any other media-capture software like orbit). You also need to have a individual password system for each user. You may ask users to change passwords every five logins.

Honestly most landing pages beat around the bush. They just talk about things other than the USP of the product & then they try to sell the product to folks who aren't just looking forward to buy it. Imagine if you would be targeting the exact group of prospective buyers who would buy your product if the landing page copy is strong, complete & perfectly written for the target consumer ~ the conversions would be far far far higher than what the averages are.

You are absolutely right ~ long copy is boring. Short copy is crisp and thus far interesting. However, you may be shocked to know that the worlds most well known copywriters still prefer writing long copy compared to short copy. Why? because it's known to convert better. So, why does it convert better? because a copywriter is able to arouse more curiosity from the prospective buyer and the at the same time, the copywriter gets the space to persuade people more than usual.

What if your sales letter is long however it's crisp and to-the-point? What if you as a prospective buyer find the offer interesting enough to hit the "add to cart" button?

I see you're not very comfortable with the idea of reading 10 screens down to buy a product as its very time-energy-money consuming. However people who are intelligent enough still buy products online whether they are from clickbank or not. Not everyone is gullible. Some people are gullible, naive and foolish. But the fact is ~ the world is collectively wise & practical.

Even if you write a 10 page long copy, people still are going to buy from you if you've a reputation at over-delivering than what you promise your buyers. And one more thing..

It's not just the copy.. It's the business offer or sales offer.. It's like the pizza that you put on the table.. you need to know which offer will make your target customers hit the buy button. Why affiliates promote a certain product like I do as well..? because the offer on the table is absolutely fantastic.. Remember the copy is nothing great if you don't have a great offer. So, first.. build your offer that becomes irresistible to your target customers and then ask a copywriter to write sales copy (long or short.. whichever suits you) for you.

The point here is "reputation". Once you've built your reputation, you could make a whole lot of $$$$$ online. A sales letter is just a way to present your offer. The manner is which a copywriter writes the sales letter copy is what makes the sale. It's called presentation and you are originally looking for a presentable sales copy as I understand that is crisp, precise, complete and accurate.

Never write landing page too long, put in the other page about your product description...
