Page Rank is a Google algorithm to calculate the importance of any website or web-page in Google's point of view/ . It is calculated by considering multiple number factors.

    # Google only knows its algorithm
    # PR starts from 0 to 10. PR 10 was the maximum
    # PR was calculated by many factors like.,
    - backlinks
    - quality content
    - bounce rate
    - good navigation and many more..

What is Page Rank? It's Google's measure of link popularity... based on the quantity and quality of inbound links to a URL. It's a property of a URL in their index. It's one of over 200 ranking factors for a URL. There are actually 2 types of page rank...

The "actual" or "real" page rank is only known by Google. You never know its value. It's a minor ranking factor in their algorithm. It's updated constantly.

The toolbar PR is what most people talk about when they speak of page rank. It is a 0-10 logrithmic scaling of the real PR at some point in the past. It is NOT used by Google's ranking algorithm, and it is ALWAYS out of date.
