We have been running a tutoring website. However, now we have local Raleigh tutoring page. The main page has a reference to Raleigh and a link to the Raleigh page. When article marketing or exchanging links, which page should we give links to? What is advantage of linking to main page? What is the advantage of linking to Raleigh page?

Linking to internal pages is benificial because you can use specific, long tail targetted keywords, and rank for them accordingly. The home page may not target that term, the internal will. Its normally easier to rank for the long tail keywords, and the traffic is also better converting, as they land on the page they were looking for.
