Greetings All, What other methods are you using to market your business (print, local tv, radio)? Is it working for you? If not why do you feel it isn't? Regards, HRB www.wowzzy.com "Bringing small business to the big table!"
Email marketing is a good way to get some targeted advertising. Your ad appearing in an email newsletter that is delivered to readers interested in a particular niche can not only get your ad in front of the right people, but it can expand your brand to look bigger than it actually is. For example, some email newsletters will feature ads from say Microsoft or Facebook or somebody, but will also not hesitate to advertise John Q. Anybody's business as well. It can give your brand a sense of credibility when it appears in the same place as bigger companies.
The new stamps from USPS for postcards don't look too professional, but maybe you can meter your mail. I've used postcards with some success when I know an area or building that I think has tenants whos' rights are being violated. I have to put "advertising material" all over anything I send, so it gets sorted with junk mail (bad), but those campaigns have been overall profitable. Depends on your potential customer demo if postcards will make sense or not. Postage adds up
We do some print advertising for a client in the local newspaper. Two page full color ad for real estate listinings. It is a pain the ass but it's located in a small town and EVERYBODY reads the newspaper. One thing I like to do is when I set up my own wireless network for my house, I use my company's name and web address so the signal can be seen by everyone in the area. I have had some inquiries doing this. Not going to make you rich or anything but every little bit counts.
