    Its Windows XP all the way for me. XP at my laptop and pc both. Vista is in my dad's laptop, I feel its a bit slow! What you guys think of Vista vs XP?

    There's a lot of arguments over XP vs Vista. Personally, I use Vista on all other computers in the house (cept mine) and at work and have absolutely no problems with it and love the extra features, the new GUI, etc.

    Just make sure if you get Vista, you apply SP1, it does a lot to make the OS more stable.

    Yup.. majority of programs are for Windows, and unfortunately, a lot of people just cannot figure out how to use Linux, get frustrated with it, and end up buying another Windows-based computer.

    And then there's the whole business side of it too.. Which is a bit too long-winded for this thread and going off-topic hehe..

    Businesses use Windows because they can get support for it. If their Windows server or any other Windows computer crashed, they can get out Microsoft's number and their credit card.

    Ehh not exactly.. Depends on the business anyways. I know it'd be very hard/impossible for the company I work for to continue being a business without Windows since you can't really do .NET on Linux :p
