What option is the best for my site?

Just started a new site and I'm in a dilemma.

Whats the best option for SEO

(1) 10 unique articles in a site

(2) 10 unique articles plus X amount of those submitted articles that require a life link back

 

I believe option 2 although I would seperate those sections. I write my own articles in a featured section which bring in more people than the syndicated ones but it also takes me a good amount of time to write unique articles.

The syndicated ones bring in fewer people because they have been distributed elsewhere but because it takes so little time, it is well worth it.

When you use other peoples articles make sure you go the extra mile and optimize your title and description tags to be sure its your site that stands out in the SERPs.

Just check to make sure the live link is to a real site and not a link farm.

If you don't want to link to them you can use a different article.
