What Operating Would You Choose? Which One is the Best?

    I would choose Slackware with packages from a,ap,n,d,l ... base installation .....

    I would do FreeBSD as well. It's my server OS of choice. Long history, excellent security, good support, linux binary compatibility, and generally very cool.

    Linux has so many forks the community is pretty much useless as advice for one isn't good for another.
