What on earth is wrong?

    Hey guys...

I just checked my data for yesterday (Christmas day).

145 clicks on my Adwords ads (which point to specific products on Amazon). Very nice. But not one single sale has been recorded.

The ads are well placed and worded (hence the clicks) and they point to great products as described in the ads. But noone spent a thing against my affiliate ID.

    I just dont get it...

    Any ideas?

I know I am grasping at straws here, but...

Is there any way that Ordering and Sales data on Amazon could delayed compared to data on clicks?

The reason I am asking is that a chap here at DP stated elsewhere that it was a week after 'some 200 odd clicks that showed no sales or orders' that sales and orders started to show in his Affiliate information.

ie he got 200 clicks, but it wasnt until a week later that sales data started to appear.

At this time, my click data at Amazon does not come through until the next day. Could it be that sales and ordering data is delayed by more than one day?

    Just a thought...

I was having a similar problem. Lots of clicks and no sales. I would of blown through $100 this month if I didn't put the ads on hold. Right now I'm focusing on article submissions and other ways to bring more traffic to my site without having to use PPC. Also I've been trying to put the "not making money from my affiliate site" thought in the back of my mind to keep me from getting frustrated. I read everywhere on this forum that this guy made $100 his first month, $20 his first week, etc. Ignore it because you'll drive yourself crazy worrying about it.

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat my friend. Keep your chin up...

    'Evening DJ...

As things turned out, I threw caution to the wind and did a $100.00 USD campaign the following day (27th) - this resulted in commissions of around $72.00. I was down 28.00 but it could have been a 100 :D Weird though, when looked against what happened on the 26th. The CTR was only slightly higher on the 27th too.

    Anyway

I have continued to experiment on a greatly reduced budget, with less (but still half decent CTR producing) keywords. Lets see if focussing my aim a bit more helps.

i tried an adwords campaign, blew through the budget and no sales. Is adwords really worth it for Amazon Affiliates?

sales were bad after the holidays, talking about my clickbank and own products here. I had 7 days with NO clickbank sale in a row while my campaigns were running. I almost freaked out. But its getting better now and i actually made some pretty decent money yesterday, proving that nothing was wrong with my sites.

as for amazon: People look at it in a weird way inr egards to PPC, what i never understood.
People say their commission suck. Amazon pays 4% - 6% depending on what structure you're enrolled in.

Noone ever complained about CJ....look at CJ....vendors there very often pay a measly 2% for products like electroics!!

Also..i said it on many places already...nothing speaks against using amazon and filtering out any products below a certain price range..nothing speaks against promoting only high-value products, a few grand and up. This will give you hefty commissions per sale!

Dont promote books and penny-items if you use PPC and amazon..you can do this on blogs...but for PPC go for the big guns, big screen tvs, routers, diamond necklaces and similar.
