what my customer means with not outbid him?

An advertiser that I'm affiliate has in its agreement:

Affiliates may use the non-compete keywords in their efforts but should not intentionally outbid the advertiser.

The advertiser provide these non-compete keywords list, but my question is what is the practical of outbid the advertiser?

For me outbid means that I can not bid a superior value for the keywords provided - but what is the value that per click that I can not outbid? $0.05 $0.10 $0.20 $.050 ???? The advertise provided only keyword list but no values!

Is not possible to know the bid for each of the keywords for the advertise. Correct? is the only solution to ask the advertiser to provide the values? Or outbid means another thing?

    thanks

says you should not intentionally outbid. If you do not know what words they are biddig on, how can you intentiionally outbid them, right? ;)

Overture will show you the amount they are bidding, adwords doesn't.

My guess is that they change their bids from time to time and I guess they could provide you maximum bid amounts. As soon as you started your campaign, you could see if you were outranking them - but with adwords, placement is affected by factors other than just price. In theory, you could under-bid them but still place higher.

It also might be that whomever is running their adwords campaign monitors who ranks ahead of them and if they see your url outranking them, they could contact you.

If you aren't worried about losing them as an affiliate, just run a campaign and see what happens, otherwise I would contact them to see what they say.

Yes, very true this is Right! I'm now free to bid $5.00 per these keywords.

And if he send me a mail complainning that I am outbiding him: I'll say very sorry first and ask him to explain me how he discovered my bids - with his bid spy instruction this will never happen again:p
