Right now I am into Andrea Bocelli's new cd, Andrea. He's such a great singer, there's no doubt about that. But if you guys want to listen to it, here is his website: www.andreabocelli.com let me know.
hehehe... He needs to make more posts and more (interesting) threads... maybe a forum of his own, and at least he should participate in forums discussing culture in general. Just my 2 cents
I'm guessing this was moved from General Marketing, heh. Metal, rock, ambient, electronica, progressive rock, classical, and acoustic take the cake for me.
Ok, this may not win me any brownie points but here goes: Disco 70's rock (Styx, Steve Miller Band, REO, Boston, Head East, etc.) 70's pop (Eagles, LRB, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Doobie Brothers, etc.) 80's rock & Pop (up till about '89) Anthing country up until garth. (garth killed country) Bluegrass (any and all) New Age Classical
a-ha, Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen, Savoy, Alphaville, Seal, Duran Duran and many others from mainly 80's... I love music
Don't know Alphaville... what sorta sounds are they? The last decent car ad music was for the Merc CLK - Rammstein's "Mein Herz Brennt" when the clouds break over the desert... rocky & orchestral for those unfamiliar... Can't say Opera is a fave, nor jazz, but all else pretty much does the trick esp Rock, reggae, metal, dub, trance, hip hop (not rap) drum & bass & ambient... Pop sucks though, we have too much of that over here
I'm really into (post-psychadelic) Pink Floyd and some other classic-rock bands. I also like ambient stuff to relax to, adult contemporary, would you call it? Ocassionally when I get pissed I'll play some metal, pop, or other fluff, just to clear my mind, but that's not often. I don't see much point in music without expression, noise is fine, but only every so often. My roommate is hooked on heavy emo and rap/death metal and plays track after track of it. It's not so irritating the first time, some aren't all that horrible, but I don't know how he can listen to it more than once a day, let alone 18-25 times a day.
Good stuff david_sakh, what do you think of this track by our hotly-tipped band of 2005, Bloc Party; a track titled Banquet? I got tickets off eBay to see 'em, cost me $100 for 2x tickets... apparently I was lucky as 2x tickets just went for $400 after I bought mine
oo, ill download it once I get back to the uni. Don't have headphones, and it's too noisy and nosey to use the speakers here.
