What movie is better Avatar or Star Wars?

Avatar is definitely one of the best movie i have ever seen. Special effects, story, actors - everything is just perfect.

 

I agree with those who say these movies cannot be compared as they do seem too different to do so.. Lol, but if I had to choose between the two, I would definitely have to say Avatar has my vote. The movie was Amazing in 3D and I loved the story line. Who knows, maybe an updated version of Star Wars will come out and be just as amazing, if not better than Avatar. (Sorry if there already is , pretty sure there isn't though)

Tough I love Star Wars my vote goes to Avatar for the special effects and the story. It seems cinema has been made for movies like Avatar

This question is like asking: "Who's better, Elvis or Celine Dion?"

You may have your own personal opinion on who best fits your taste in music, but when you consider originality and the influence on pop culture, Elvis would be the clear winner.

Same goes with asking which movie is "better". You may prefer Avatar, but nobody could deny the importance of Star Wars to the evolution of modern film. Star Wars, like Elvis, continues to profit more than 30 after its release. In fact, Star Wars AND the Elvis brand make more money today than ever. The longevity of both of their successes deserve a little more respect than to have them "dethroned" by unproven newcomers.

That said, Star Wars is my preference. I did enjoy Avatar, though - far more than I thought I would.

Latest Avatar The last Airbender movie is best , Anag and Avatars in movie attracted me for whole time and want to enjoy this movie again and again .its really an awesome and appreciable movie .i will say it a great hit of 2010.

Tough choice. I personally would rather watch Avatar than Star Wars, because I find it more appealing visually. However, when it comes to storyline and creating a complex universe, nobody has done it better than Lucas. So, right now my vote would be for Star Wars. If Cameron adds to the storyline my vote may change, give it about 10 years. =)
