What Motivates You?

It's a lot of work from the start to an end of a campaign. Writing the content yourself, like I do, or outsourcing it, getting the sales page up, working out payment processors, buy buttons, auto-responder sequences, the list goes on.

You can't always do all this in one sitting or even one day. Some days you just can't get yourself to do even the simplest tasks.

So the question is: What motivates you?

In my experience, and with my friends, money isn't a strong enough driving force. We simply need the money to get something else we want or need. Money is just that irritating road block between you and what you want.

In my latest campaign my motivation is seeing my favorite musician in concert. I've got a short amount of time to raise some money. Just thinking about it makes me happy and smile. :) It's not a life shattering epiphany that this is my motivation, but this musician is one of my greatest excitements in life and if they can't motivate me to make this happen nothing can.

    So what motivates you?

Not sure, why the section is in marketing, I recommend it to be for "general business". But, I`ll particpate regardless.

    What motivates me?

Hearing the ghetto neighbor and my apartment garage sound, I wake up as my alarm clock.

Money actually motivates me but in the sense that I have to identify what I am going to use it for.

There is no better motivation than the money. Actually there are no people on earth that are not motivated with fact that they can earn millions online.

I love to travel. My success will bring me more free time and money so I can travel as long as I wanted.

    Me, myself and I :)
    ...
but seriously it is hard sometimes to stay motivated. What I do to stay on track:
    • I write a to do list and keep it handy
    • Target something I would like to achieve by working on a project
    • and yes: MONEY I imagine I earn that money I want
    • and things I can buy with that money
    • Read success stories
    • Find the reasons why it is good to work on online instead of a 9 to 5 job
    • get away sometimes from the desk and have fun
    • and unfortunately sometimes negative things can motivate too, like my bills to pay.

    What motivates me?

    1. To be able to buy whatever I want without asking a man for it.

    2. To be able to help people that need help.

Independance motivates me more than anything else. Once you get into a certain position in life everyone else listens to you and does your bidding.(within reason) I am working towards a state where I take my directives from no one. And come contract time I basically get what I ask for.

I came *very* close to giving you a like but didn't, want to know why? Firstly I enjoyed reading how you derive motivation from your mother. But your post has religious overtones which I feel do not belong here on this particular forum.
But I do respect your beliefs......thanks for the post.:)

I spend countless hours online because I have to provide my cats with their canned food, litter sand and make sure they're healthy. Vet is not cheap ;)

Meh you should train your cats to do poo poos in the backyard :p
To the OP, success/achievement is what motivates me the most. I try to celebrate even the small accomplishments because achieving bigger goals doesn't happen over night.
