Hello all DP members, I have a site I'm using to compete for the keywords "free paypal money". Right now, I'm currently #4 but I don't understand why I'm so low compared to the sites above me. I have more backlinks, a PR 1 while the other have PR 0, and a better Alexa rank. I know I need to do more linking but what more can I do to get a better rank? Please don't suggest that I update and add more content, because it's really more of a site with basic information. Write articles about your site and target the demographics you want to visit. If I had a hairdresser supply site I'd write one article or more about each product with links to the home page and other pages. Nothing too much just 150 words each.
Perhaps a duplicate content penalty. I notice that copyscape finds much of your content to be duplicate. Also, I don't see Google acknowledging your backlinks yet. That doens't mean they are not there, but they're not showing up yet with the link command. It could be that your backlinks are new enough that they haven't taken them all into consideration yet.
OK, although it doesn't make any difference just yet, your images load very slowly - consider compressing them. 1) You have no H1 Tag. Put some html text under the logo and call it "How to get free PayPal Money". Doesn't need to link anywhere, just give this the only H1 tag on the page. 2) Your page names need changing - for example, questions.html you can change to "questions-about-free-paypal-money.html" 3) In each of your 3 steps, you have an image as your link. Remove the links from the images, and change the text at the top to be the link instead. 4) On your Proof page, tidy it up - put a border around the images, along with a description explaining what you will see when you click on it. 5) On your Questions page, you have no H1 or H2 tags. This page should be called "questions-about-free-paypal-money.html" Then the questions make them H2 tags and the answers H3 tags. Format the text and make it look nice. Put the questions in <strong> </strong> as well 6) Write more content, but write it so you are not duplicated at all. Make it all your own explanation. Look again at it once you have done that, then re-do your sitemap at http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ and upload it again. Hope that helps for a starter
Write the unique article & target the your H1 tags in article and post the fast approve & high pr Article Directory site. you will get positive Result in your site page rank.
PR doesn't matter with keywords ranking, you have to make content relevant back links. Article marketing is the best option to get ranking so i think you have to write 100 article and use keyword anchor in signature and post them, you will get soon top.
Try to build links on different perspective. Try to build links from profile link building. Or write some articles and submit in ezinearticles. Try to do somthing different and you will rank.
try better on-page seo. do the basic, implement header tags, emphasis and make your page load faster. of course you already know that your content is playing very important role.
Content is an important fact in SEO, I think you should improve your site's content (be sure there's no dc) and add more backlinks.
Content is important but you will have only one keyword in rank and all other sites will have more than 1. Also you should create some quality links.
