Hello DP community, In order to increase everyones knowledge about gaining traffic, I wanted to dedicate a thread purely for this subject. This thread will help beginners, intermediates, and experts alike. There are many threads being opened everyday with titles such as "how do I gain traffic fast", "what is the fast way to gain traffic", and "how do I gain traffic". So, why not devote this thread for the sole purpose of ways on how to gain traffic? Please post your ways on how to generate traffic and maintain that continuous stream of unique visitors. Some methods I have used: Social networking, social bookmarking, article submission, blog commenting, forum postings, directory submissions, search engine submissions, signature linking, word-of-mouth, and link exchange. I sincerely hope that you contribute to this thread. Thanks, Leader
I think you covered most of it... I'm sure there are other topics like this if you did a search though.
I use the same techniques you've mentioned. I would encourage you to aim for repeat visits. A lot of bloggers work hard to get new traffic from their blogs but they're missing out to the more imporant part... that is to retain traffic (get them visit your blog again). Cheers.
I mean, I'm pretty lazy (after taking the time to do all the site design, article creation, artwork, etc) so I use google ads. I think part of it is that I don't really know the best places to do those other options you've suggested. I'll have to do some more research into that.
I've found advertising my website/product on different webmaster forums, in the marketplace sections to be very good for me. -- Phil

Post video responses to other top videos in your niche.Grab a cup of coffee or tea and start counting your traffic as they start to pour in to your website.
The best way to get traffic is to create unique content and lots of it. Even lesser known about niches can do well if they can become an authority on the subject.
