What Meta tags should i be using for my domain

    this is probably gonna sound like a dumb question, however im new to the website industry so if anyone can help me out ill appreciate it.

    I know nothing about Meta tags and i need to know:
    -Will my site suffer if i have too many meta tags?
    -how do meta tags help people find my site?
    -what tags should i be using for my site basically its a site about making money

    Meta tags are useless and the thing of the 90s. I am not even sure why people still talk about them.
