The polls now have congressional approval around 14%. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/congressional_job_approval-903.html These numbers are lower than they have been at pretty much any time in the entire Bush presidency, including the brief moment when it looked like the entire economic system might fall to ashes. Congress and Washington are pushing forward full steam to pass a healthcare bill by whatever means necessary. It seems after the election of a Republican to Ted Kennedy's senate seat people took different messages from the American people. One group took the election of a man who campaigned on defeating the healthcare bill to mean that the American public did not want this healthcare bill. Another group, the group in power in Washington, and many of their supporters, took it to mean the people were upset for failing to get the healthcare bill passed. What do you think?
I think people are fed up with political partisanship and big money corruption of the system. It would be nice if my representatives actually represented me rather than their proclaimed party or their biggest contributors. Will be tough year for incumbents, just as it was two years ago...
