    well, i did a bit of searching on google and found that::

    It is actually a subdomain.. just that the "wwp" part is used as a subdomain in cpanel.. it can b done to any domain,...

    the famous"WWW" is also a subdomain that can be avoidable but used coz of majority of users do..

    You can also create wws, wwc, wwe.yourdomainname.com they are just subdomains :D
