What meaning "Content is king" by Google

Yeah, Content is the main and most important element in the website. Without it you can do nothing. It may article, photo, Image, video etc. Content should be unique and quality full. If you do SEO without quality content then it doesn't give you any better result for your website. Another thing, content should be related with the website.

You need carefull read my thread. I showed example, where page with NO CONTENT been at #1 positon for semi hard phrase.
Sure, that nice website must have content. But also havy situations is with online shops.
Where 10 000 shops have for sale same product with same description. There ONLY LINKS are most important to get good ranking.

In summary:
You can be at the #TOP without content for hard phrase using link building.
You never will be at the #TOP for hard phrase with beautyfull content which have no incoming links.
This is TRUE and been confirmed many many times.

It Google speak to shut and and keep digging. Google wants us all to be slaves in producing content that it will monetize. It's a master slave relationship and it's their pyramid.

 

Google gives more important to content means if your content is fresh, your ranking is well.

E-commerce or product pages tend to have LESS content but that doesn't mean that Google DOESN'T care about content at all. Sure, there are many websites with NO content at all and ranks for some keywords, QUESTION IS, do these pages rank for 'sensible' keywords? If so, show me an example.

BS. Link building alone DOESN'T equate to SEO. Your claims are simply ridiculous.

Good content tends to attract viral links. Just pour a couple of Social Media marketing on it and you'll eventually get links built by people who have read or liked your post.

Careful with claiming things just because many people says so.

 

According to the latest search (done on 3rd May, 2012) for your quoted keyword 'make money online', I cud not find it in Google even on the 5th page! I am sure, the Panda is still actively hunting for low-qaulity thin content, and regardless of your voluminous back-links, it would not let your website have a good position in the search engine. No offence meant here...but go and renew your website content and put some weight in it! Good Luck!

At first, I am not a owner of quoted blog and them backlinks. Just monitoring google rank for this phrase from long time. Only what I saw there been increasing links, no other changes. Google removed this blog from top position after I'm wrote this thread. There much more examples, but I don't want to be a reason penalties for other websites, everybody can find a lot examples by self.

Sure, that when you have good content on page - its good for viral marketing and increasing traffic from social media websites. Just one thing. There often "no follow" links, so from this source You not will receive quality backlinks. Only other webmasters or bloggers can do it. Anyway, good backlinks are much,much more important than excellent and unique content. As i am said earlier. It been confirmed many times, before Panda & Penguin and after too.

 

"Content is king" = Honestly seems more like false advertisement on the part of Matt Cutts and Google. I mean common sense is that if you want to rank for banana then make the content about banana. BUT this does not mean that I will rank number one for the topic I am writing for. The key to ranking no matter what google or anyone else says is:

Rest beginers just repeat this stupid Matt Cutts sentence "content is king", but can somebody show me an example "Content is king", where popular phrase is at top position, because there good content without backlinks ?
No... there no examples. No one. Because "content is king" - this is only google fairytale.

From a user's perspective, WOULD you want to see a page with a very poorly copy-paste written article OR a page like Wikipedia (informative and unique)? If you'd choose the very-poorly written article over a wiki page then you my friend is sooooo 2004.

Google leans over what the USERS would want to see on the web and not what their robots would. Simple.

To say that links are better than content is simply ridiculous.

1. A page with good content = Tends to attract viral links and would most likely get more exposure in social media websites, thus getting more good quality backlinks automatically.
2. A page with poor content = Doesn't attract anything.

Even if you build good quality backlinks to example #2 (which I think you would do this by spamming), you'd probably rank for quite a short time but eventually find yourself plunging down the results for having the least importance.

As far as claiming "Content is King", that boils down from a person's perspective. Just because most people are saying so doesn't mean that everything else aren't important. Remember, as they always say, there are more than 200 ranking factors and links along with content are just 2 out of 200.

Go figure.

content is king, not that google can read and define good and bad content but it is very good having good content cause then site will spread fast through word of mouth and offcourse keep visitors in the site creating many pageloads.

When you building business website, then it can't be a spam and it can't get backlinks from spam websites.
Google is very sensitive for links sources and whole link building must look like natural link increase.
So, if you have good website and quality backlinks, You always will be a winner in compare to rest websites with super unique content.

Example: how you imagine online shop with electronics parts, where 100.000 parts ? Do you will be make a beautyfull description about each ?
I easy see that you have no experience with seo, meybe you care about own blog. But my friend - business websites are much more diffrent.
Business websites need a effect by good ranking, not a repeat fairytales which never happen.

Also remember, that google its just a matematic algorithm which using many source factors, so if You would like a get succes in SEO, you need to understand it.

In summary: if you are not experienced and haven't top ranked websites done, please don't try to teaching others who play with seo from begining.
