I need to send an email out to over 25,000 members and dont know what email software to use. Anyone know what the cheapest way of doing this would be? Thanks
Most hosting software (ie CPanel, Direct Admin, etc) have mailing list managers included. Have you seen if one is included?
Ive just looked and i have got "mailing list" in my cPanel though thought id have to use some software to do this? Dont know how to do it through cPanel so never really though about that until you just said. Is it easy to do?
That's a big list, how did you build it? You must have used already a mail software to build that list... plus double-optin! If you didn't your mails will be caught probably as spam
No i dont have mail software. The list is through a mysql database of all registered members to my site. I was planning on exporting the database so i could send an email out to all registered members.
What software are you running for this site? If it's a CMS or a forum, they themselves may have a solution built in or with a plugin or module. You may also want to bounce this off of your host. They may have a rate limit in place, a solution you can use, and/or rules within their ToS/AUP that prohibit such mailings.
No its nothing like that. Its a Symbian S60 site. Guests can come on, then register. When they do its saved into a mysql database automatically. There is no forum or anything like that.
Well ive got some email software. Only problem im having is when it asks you to write what email you wish it to show its come from, it doesnt. I.e im telling it to appear as to have come from but instead it shows its come from
i personally use mailchimp but you could use signup.to aswell, i use mailchimp as its easy to use and cost effective
wow... I smell 'SPAM' ...better use correct way...setup opt-in form > use autoresponder (Aweber/Getresponse/Norabots (10 Usd ))..then drive traffic to your squezee page..
