I own a company that produces a number of internet marketing software products including:

    Affiliate Tracking Software
    Site Builder
    Email Marketing Software
    Page Rank Finding Software
    Hover Ad Software

as well as a team who are available to develop more....

I'd like to know what you guys feel is lacking out there in the market place and maybe we can take steps to develop your ideas.

    Any contributions?

    Many Thanks

I wouldn't mind seeing a simplified marketing plan software package out there that's actually decent, to help encourage site owners and online business owners to take the importance of planning more seriously. Most aren't too likely to pay for packages like Marketing Plan Pro from Palo Alto, or the business plan software for that matter. But most of the free/cheap ones I've tested are really lousy. I think a pretty simple version could help in getting them to use them, and since there's not great competition in that area targeting them specifically, it might have marketing potential from your own business perspective.

Interesting, the one you mentioned contains various tools that apply to standard businesses rather than purely online businesses.

Do you think theres a need for a low cost Internet Marketing Course that takes you all the way through the basics, building a site, domain, hosting etc through SEO, affiliate marketing, Adwords, email marketing, etc etc?

    Many Thanks

I really don't think so. I mean, I'm not saying it couldn't be done, but I think most site owners know where they can already find that kind of information for free. If you did something like that, I would worry about it looking like one of those Internet marketing guru scam programs. The reason I say marketing plan software targeting online businesses is that with an offline business, the owners are often already shelling out a good deal of money for a startup, so the prospect of paying $100 or more for professional software to help with planning isn't a huge added cost. With a website or online business, a lot of people get into it without any real planning. They simply think "hey, I'll throw a website online, add content and ads, and that's all I'll need to do." But they skip the research and planning that often determines whether a business is a success or not. It would actually be really nice to see something with an abbreviated marketing plan incorporated, but also with some market research capabilities built right in... for instance, being able to have the software scan your site, and automatically list potential competitors. Then being able to do a one-click search on various competing sites, to get all of their details, like from google, alexa, etc. at once, and then displayed in a collective report so they can see where they stand at a glance. The tools are already there online. But if the research aspect were simplified or even automated, that might be attractive to your audience. I don't know. I'm a marketer, so I know the value of it. You'd have to talk to other site owners to see whether or not there would be a demand for something like that kind of a bundle.

An inexpensive program that, I type the name of my site, my email, and all the other things most site submit forms need, and it will sign me up for all the working free advertise sites and search engines it knows of.
