What makes you a SEO professional?

I consider myself an SEO professional, because I work professionally. That's the operative word. As simple as that. I always complete my task on time and deliver results!

 

SEO Professionals are professionals because they get paid for providing their SEO services. The question is not whether the word "Professional" means "good" or "bad." "Professional" is referring to someone who gets paid for their services. Therefore, if you get paid for SEO services, and you suck at it, or you are good at it, this would mean you are an SEO Professional.

 

qualification for being a SEO professional

1. you have your own technique
2. knows black hat methods
3. can talk about SEO whole day

 

SEO professionals are charging big money for nothing , SEO experts could be worth your money

 

By reading all the above suggestions and replies i come to the conclusion that professional means who search for the work and expert means who gets the work without searching it thats his power of knowledge, thats the difference between pro and expert, am I right?
I had never thought that their will be HUGE difference between pro and expert..

I consider myself an SEO professional because it's what I do to pay my bills. As long as I'm getting paid for it, then I'm doing it professionally. However, being a professional does not make you an expert.

 

To be a SEO professional is not an easy task. It requires daily research because in SEO daily new tips are launching so it requires research a lot. Even if you working as a SEO for 4 years so you can say that you are a good SEO but the SEO professional is someone who research a lot and never say that i am SEO professional. Because if you are professional so your work will say itself.

 

Seo professional should know all onapge and offpage optimization activity.He should know tools like google analytics,stat counter....seo needs alot of research work.......In seo you have to analise the Google results and according to that you have to plan your work to promote your website.............

 

SEO Expert are those ...
Who get's results in less time with minimum efforts.

and the SEO professional are those how, keep on working with all there so called old tactics and might show some results after time.

 

I'm personally a big fan of the old school tactics. They may be old, but they still work like a charm.

 

SEO pro or SEO expert is those who don't get you penalty from search engines.

Is those who really understands Webmaster rules set out by major search engines.

 

don't forget Web Designer also has a part of a professional SEO like after the Web Design thing your the ones who's gonna promote your site as an SEO.

 

The qualities in every field makes a man professional and it is same in optimization field. If you want to become a SEo professional then make sure that you know every how and why of optimization and you are always updated with this industry.

 

Spot on. I would say you are definitely a 'professional' if you can sell your services to other people who do at least understand the basics of SEO, as they can recognise your abilities and knowledge whereas the average joe wouldn't have a clue.

Many people make a good living out of doing the wrong things for SEO, often claiming to be able to achieve results that they know they can't. To be able to hold your own amongst your own peers is what makes you stand out IMO.
