domain weaponsensor .com stumbled across it in expired domain checker saying its worth 20k has no back links archive site doesnt show anything was ever built. search on godaddy says it is available at auction for the cost in title. I have no interest in this domain. just wondering why godaddy thinks its worth this much
Those domain or website valuations are worthless. One of them valued a website of mine at $25. At that time, the website was making many times more than that in profit. Sometimes if you stick a high price on something, some sucker will come along and think it must be worth a lot to justify such a high price. Like $300 jeans. What woman would pay $300 for a pair of jeans that looks like any other pair of blue jeans?
so the price is set by the domain owner and godaddy and the expired domain checker site just post the price the owner chooses?
yes its just the amount the owner wants for it, at the end of the day a domain is only worth how much you want to pay for it however I might pay more for it , this is why buying at auction is a good thing for the buyer, you just have to learn how to stop bidding. I look for aged domain names pref with real page rank and traffic , then I base my bids on can I resell this for $$$ I while back i was lucky to get customwebsites dot info stacks of traffic and 12 years old. a result, now how to sell it
I think it is not that simple as everyone here say.The expired domain checker considers many metrics before evaluating a site worth for e.g keywords in domain, global search volume, cpc etc.Im not saying that they are always correct and it doesn't make domain worthy of selling at $$$$$
