Every Graphic Artist is different as in fingerprints. What I like you may not like and vice versa. There are just so many styles out there. I don't let bad experiences happen if I can control it. One thing I found out a long time ago is if your going cheap sell your work, you devalue the profession. I honestly put my heart and soul into my work and I know some may not like it..but I know someone will. I don't sell $10 logos or $15 designs. The web is full of that stuff. I think 90% of the web sites out there look the same.
You kinda lost me here..I don't really know what you're talking about. How and why would a designer rip you off?
IMHO, a *great* graphic designer is one who can create work with many different styles and flavors. Most designers tend to fall into one "comfortable" category and, as much as they try, they cannot deviate from that style. It's pretty rare to find a designer who can truly create things that look different (and fresh) from project to project.
I think a great graphic designer must be ablw to cope with the flexible deman of different clients, the best designers ave a creative mind, and are able to convert their creativity into a design.
In my opinion a great graphic designer should be able to find their source of inspiration in everyday life. He or she should be open-minded about different mediums of graphic design such as 3d design or animation. They need to use subtle creativity and clever concepts in order for their message to be effective. The proper use of color in graphic design is essential. When used correctly, it is a powerful psychological tool. I think it only takes like 20 seconds or less to make a connection with your user. For example red draws attention and is associated with movement and excitement. Yellow, of course is related to happiness and laughter.
Yeah, 100% agree. I would dare to say a great graphic designer (or whatever art he or she is in) does not stop at its business but is always open to totally unrelated experiences. It's in this connection between disciplines that good ideas are found. IMHO
